Project: Building 25 AHU Modifications
Completion: Winter 2003
The
pharmaceutical industry has stringent quality standards and operating
guidelines for HVAC equipment. Pfizer, a household name in Pharmaceuticals,
was experiencing severe stratification problems in 6 of their
existing Air Handling Units. Stratification is caused by improper
air distribution and results in inadequate heating and cooling.
Pfizer
hired TMI to survey and present solutions that would solve the
problem after the original air handler manufacturer left the project.
TMI’s on site service technicians and engineering staff
were able to solve the problem by designing and fabricating a
custom air distribution wall that eliminated the stratification
problems they were experiencing.
Finding
the solution to the problem was only part of the challenge. Executing
the project without interrupting Pfizer’s day-to-day operation
was critical to making this project a success. All of the work
was performed after hours and on weekends to provide “Total
Customer Satisfaction”.
TMI
is unsurpassed in evaluating the situation, designing a solution
and completing the project on time.
