TMI can design piping systems for the units we manufacture and for the systems that supply them, including:

Chilled water piping design.
Piping systems for heat recovery systems.
Heating coil systems using hot water.
Direct expansion refrigerant piping design.
Evaporative humidifier piping for both once through and recirculated systems.
Natural gas piping systems for both direct fired units and indirect fire heat exchangers. We are an industry leader in designing systems with safety as our first priority.
Steam piping systems for standard steam heating coils, integral face & bypass coils.
Direct steam humidifier piping systems utilizing both boiler & clean steam.
Hot water boiler systems, and steam to hot water heat exchangers.


TMI also has the capacity to create three dimensional models of our air supply houses, their inner working, piping systems, etc… These models can be used to get real world knowledge of the air handling unit for conceptual purposes, interference detection & ergonomic reasons.

TMI’s electrical engineering department provides engineering services for all phases in the development and installation of turn key control systems for new TMI custom air systems. Our engineers have experience with multiple control system platforms and can provide control system engineering from stand-alone unit controls to systems designed to fit into building management control systems.

TMI can also provide coordination and installation of third-party control systems on any new TMI custom air system as required.

Complete customer specification review.
Custom design turn-key controls system utilizing electric/pneumatic control elements.
DDC/PLC and operator interface control programming.
Interaction with Owners, Architects, General Contractors, and Subcontractors to ensure the control system meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations.
Control system design and programming modifications of existing customer control systems.
Field control system evaluation and troubleshooting of existing customer control systems.
Conformance to NFPA/UL/CSA/ETL specifications as required by the customer.
