The Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum, located
in Dearborn, MI was doing a site-wide renovation. TMI was
called in to replace existing air handling equipment in the
ticket entrance cilliarium. The challenge was to keep these
units at a low profile so as not to alter the historical appearance
of the building. The height restriction was a maximum of 51”
from the roofline. |

TMI
designed (2) 6,000cfm rooftop air handlers including indirect
fired heating and DX cooling. TMI utilized a packaged reciprocating
condensing unit attached to the existing base rail of the air
handler. To achieve a low profile, TMI was able to sink the unit
base within the curb to minimize the height. The unit was completely
pre-piped and pre-wired to a single point connection. The temperature
controls system included a standard DDC controller to maintain
constant temperatures within the ticket are at all times.
